Calex UK – Automotive Training
Intro
Calex UK, a leading provider of training and consulting to the automotive sector, turned to Saunders Networks to modernise their IT environment. With over 200 users across multiple locations, they needed a partner who could deliver security, consistency, and responsive support at scale — without the complexity of managing it in-house.
The Challenge
Calex UK’s IT environment had become fragmented and outdated. With no unified setup, teams were working on inconsistent systems that slowed productivity and increased risk. Email was still running on an outdated hosted platform, creating reliability and security concerns. At the same time, Calex UK wanted to achieve Cyber Essentials certification — but their existing infrastructure fell short of the standard.
Our Approach
We carried out a structured migration to Microsoft 365, moving Calex UK away from their outdated email platform and into a modern, secure environment. Every device was brought under centralised management with Intune, ensuring consistent policies and visibility across the organisation. We also implemented a defined security standard, aligning users and systems to best practice, and introduced reliable cloud backup to protect critical business data. Together, these steps created a secure and unified IT platform capable of supporting both day-to-day operations and compliance goals such as Cyber Essentials.

Calex UK now operate on a unified, modern IT platform that is secure, reliable, and simple to manage. Day-to-day operations run more smoothly, support is streamlined, and leadership has renewed confidence in their technology. With the foundations in place, Calex UK successfully achieved Cyber Essentials certification — giving both the business and its clients assurance that security is being managed at the highest standard.
